On the 23rd of November, the John Keells Foundation team visited Yala National Park to review the success of Project Leopard. Many of the farmers reported positive feedback including a large growth in the number of cattle, whilst minimal to zero deaths or injuries caused by Leopards. 68 pens have been donated so far. John Keells Foundation is currently discussing the sustainability of the project with wildlife experts to ensure the project has long – term benefits for both the farmers and the surrounding flora and fauna.
