An eye clinic organised by the Lions Club of Raigampura and supported by the Vision Project of the John Keells Foundation was held on 26th February 2011 at the Pathahawatta Sri Swarnajothi Maha Vidyalaya, Raigampura. The eye clinic was held as a part of a larger health camp. Over 300 villagers in the area visited the clinic to get their vision checked and seek medical assistance for vision-related issues. While many were provided with reading glasses sponsored by the Lions Club, 26 patients were identified and selected to undergo Cataract surgeries on 11th March 2011. The John Keells Foundation sponsors cataract surgeries. A team of doctors and other medical personnel from the Lions Gift of Sight Hospital, assisted by volunteers from the John Keells Group, successfully managed the operation of the eye clinic.
