Cinnamon Lodge HIV and AIDS Workplace Committee conducted an awareness session at Crest Fashion, a garment factory in Kurunegala. The proprietor of the factory, Ronnie Anthony invited HIV and AIDS Master Trainer Ivan Perera of Cinnamon Lodge to conduct this programme that benefited 198 staff members. According to the feedback received, most participants admitted that they were unaware about HIV and AIDS until they attended this session.

One of the participants stated that this was the first time she attended an awareness session, and now she realises the importance of being aware of a disease that has the potential to wipe out nations.
