John Keells Foundation conducted its fourth science promotion programme under phase two in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science in Jaffna on 30th of September 2016. This program is conducted to increase interest towards science and technology. The program was held in Vembadi Girls School where more than 200 students participated from 13 schools in the Jaffna District. The programme is highly interactive and engaged the students through practical sessions on chemistry and DNA modelling. The students also took part in a quiz and invention competition. The winning invention was given to a student who created an alternative means of generating energy.
